Oh, okay. I thought you meant unfortunate that they were both mixed breeds. Yeah, it kinda stunk, but it was a friend I enjoy competing against so I didn't mind as well. He gave me a run for my money and I got to tease him because usually he destroys me in showmanship

Yes, I have shown. Thank you @Chicken Chiquita ! I think the simplest way to get signed up is to join a local 4H group. They should teach you how to show you chickens.

But you can start now by choosing a chicken to show. Work with the chicken a LOT. Also, it is nice to have a bantam. The smaller they are, the easier they are to handle. And the easier they are to handle, the better you'll do. It is nice if they are a purebreed but not necessary.

There is Showmanship and Quality. Showmanship is when the judge is judging you and Quality is when your chicken(s) are being judged.

You'll have to look up on youtube or the internet how to go through the steps of showing a chicken. It takes a while. But in my experience the best way to do it is to have someone teach you in person.

I have been in 4-H before. They gave me the chicken curriculum, but it was mostly about raising meat chickens, and not many people in the club have chickens. Oh well, I learned rabbit showmanship on Google.
