Chicken sits in nest all day

Hey guys! So I just have one chicken, Nugget. She is indoors, with time outside for play/dust bathing/grazing. The last few days she hasn't laid an egg but has been VERY schreechy whenever anyone goes near. Spends most of her time in her box. She looks like she's trying to lay, but she never does. Her appetite does seem a little less. I've massaged her vent with oil in an attempt to help her lay, if that is actually the problem, with no luck. I don't see an egg in there. I'm waiting on a very appointment. In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas what might be going on?

She's gone broody, which means she wants to hatch chicks, you could give her fertile eggs if you like

Here is an article with some ways to break the broody if you don't want her to hatch eggs. She will not eat well while broody, or lay eggs, and can be a terror to the others trying to get in to lay, so best to break her if you are not going to hatch eggs.

Yeah sounds like she's broody, what I do is I just lift them out of the nest box and put them outside. They will puff themselves up and squawk a lot and will be very angry, but they will eventually stop.
