Yep, our 'dog sitter' now has 5 clients who also ask her to take care of chickens while on vacation. Thankfully, she only charges a flat rate fee for coop care (i.e. not free ranging but enclosed in a run) - because the care truly is pretty simple. If she charged per bird, whew! That'd get pricey!

So, for our family, there's the dog, cat, parrot, pond (flat rate fee), turtles (flat rate fee) and chickens (flat rate fee). I know when I call her her answering machine must say "MONEY!" because it flies out of my pocket into hers! Yikes!
