Chicken skinny, weak and acting sad

One of my hens is not doing well and I don't know why. She started trying to sleep in the nesting boxes next to where they perch at night about a week ago. I didn't think much of it, sometimes they do that, and her butt looked fine and she acted normal otherwise.
But now I have realized she's very light and skinny, like she hasn't been eating like she should. I haven't seen her poop but her butt looks clean. Her crop is all good, emptying as it should. She was still eating yesterday, just acting separate and moving slow. Was very interesting in eating some chick started I offered her (thought it would be easier to digest than the egg laying pellets I have out currently)
Today she's hiding under the house with a few others and I haven't seen her eat, just drink.
Maybe she has worms or something? I have a tube of the safeguard horse dewormer paste and I gave her a pea sized amount of that last night. I guess I'll give her that for the next five days.
I know it's so hard to know what's up with her but didn't know if anyone had ideas. She's standing fine, just walking kinda slow like she's tired. I'll probably give her some nutridrench tonight too

Sorry to hear one of your girls isn't doing well. How old is she and is she currently laying? How does her belly between her legs and below her vent feel? Any swelling or lumps?

Worms could be a possibility as could mites. I would thoroughly check your birds and also the roost bars at night when mites would be running around.

I would give her some extra nutrition (eggs, tuna, etc) to see if you can get her energy and weight back up. Check her crop when she goes to bed to make sure it's full and she is eating enough. Also try to get a look at her poop to see if that offers any clues.

I'd say she's about 2 years old. As far as I know she had been laying, i don't think she is right now. Her belly feels fine and vent looks normal.
I looked for mites but don't see any. I'm reticent to put her in a cage by herself. They always seem to grow sadder when I do. I may have to soon though, and then I'll be able to see her droppings.
I did see her eat some throughout the day and drinks plenty. She seems to like to eat right before bed so I got her to eat some more. Will try tuna and egg tonight with her and more nutridrench

Hopefully it's just a bad case of worms. Two is still pretty young to have a serious disease and drinking a lot of water can be a sign of a heavy worm load. Let us know how she gets along.
