Chicken slowly is falling

When was the last time she laid an egg?
Was her crop empty this morning before she had anything to eat or drink?

I would feel her abdomen for any bloat/swelling or feeling of fluid, look her over for lice/mites. Do what you can to keep her hydrated - electrolytes or gatorade are fine for the first 8-24hrs, then switch to poultry vitamins if you have them.

If you have a vet that can perform a fecal float, that's always a good idea too.

With hens, sometimes it's hard to know what's going on with them - so eliminating the most common ailments like worms, reproductive disorders and crops issues is usually the place to start.
I have 47 chickens so it's very very hard for me to keep track of who is laying and who isn't, sorry.

Checking crops doesn't usually pass my mind. What would it feel like if it was empty?

How do I check that? She has plenty of water and I'm giving her electrolytes too. I don't have any vitamins.. it's hard to get that in Canada. What can I give her to replace that?

Sorry I don't have any vets near me. Can I do that myself or no?

The crop is on the right side of the hen, it is a pouch that holds food to be digested.
You should be able to feel it when she has been eating, it will be firm and full when she goes to sleep. It should be flat or empty in the morning (before eating/drinking).

Do you have a Co-op or pet store in your town? Where do you buy your poultry feed? Check with the store that you buy your feed, they should have vitamins.

Ah okay.

We do but they only sell chicken feed and waterers. Nothing else for poultry. :-/
