Hi all. My chicken started sneezing this morning with no fluids or anything appearing out of the nose. She had just laid an egg when I found her sneezing in her box, and I brought her inside to quarantine, in which she sneezed a bit more. I’m a little worried about her since I know these things can be symptoms of respiratory illnesses.

What can I do for her and what symptoms should I look out for? Am I overreacting? She’s actual mostly like her usual self but I also know some chickens won’t show any weakness till the very end. I’ll update if anything changes.

Along with some light wheezing and panting as well I believe.

Though I must say, right now she’s energetically trying to get out of her cage and is spilling her water bowl everywhere.

How is she now?

My hen has been sneezing for a few weeks. Thought it may be gapeworm so treated with flubenvet pellets. Still the same.

I have 3 in total and the other two are fine. Ive ordered some Aviform which you add into to water to treat respiratory infections. Fingers crossed this works.

Update: was nothing big, girl is fine and hasn’t done it in weeks. Thanks to everyone who replied.

Most likely just a small case of stridor. One of my girls has had it a couple times and recovered.
