Chicken Soup!!! or Wait For The Eggs?

I knew a woman who's chickens did not start laying. The grain store suggested giving them grower feed instead of layer feed. Hers were over a yr old and still not laying, but this got them going. I know it sounds crazy, but it worked.

At this point I'll try it on the next bag....I can't help think what a farmer 150 years ago would have done to solve the problem...other than butchering them.
