Chicken spitting up blood!

Have you tried to figure out where the stench is coming from - her beak, her vent? Have you checked her over really well for any wounds that may be hidden underneath feathers?
Do you have any photos of her?

I would offer her the water and check her crop first thing in the morning to see if it's empty.
Okay. The smell is coming from her vent, i discovered (the hard way).

No, she has defecated at least 5 times since i have noticed. All of them being yellow.
The poop is not normal. It's hard to know what's causing it - reproductive problems, infection or worms are a few things that come to mind.
Did you ever get a look inside her beak to see if she has any sores or canker? Maybe an indication of where the blood was coming from?

Sadly this morning when i went to check on her she had already passed away. She probably passed in her sleep. Thank you for helping me.

So sorry for your loss. I think your hen may have had cancer. It may have been in her reproductive tract, or she could have had liver disease, which can be secondary to reproductive infection. Fatty liver disease could have caused bleeding. Yellow poop can be egg yolk peritonitis. It is all just a guess without a necropsy. You can try and do one yourself, opening her abdomen to look at organs, taking pictures to post here. Or you could refrigerate her body (don’t freeze) to take her body or ship it to your state vet for a necropsy and diagnosis. We can help with pictures of necropsies if you do one.

Thank you, i would really like to see what caused this..but i don't think i could do that to her. Her poop did look a lot like egg yolk though, and it is very possible for either of those illnesses. Thank you so much.
