I'm sorry about your hen.
Do you have photos of her leg?
Is she able to limp walk on it at all?
Hopefully she has just sprained it and the leg will heal in a week or so. It does sound like she's limiting her activity o.k. She's eating/drinking o.k.
I'm not sure how your coop/run setup is, so can only tell you what I did when my dog chased a hen into a fence and she injured her leg.
I did leave her with the flock, she self-limited her activity and was able to get to food/water o.k. The leg was a bit swollen and I could feel a lump, possibly a fracture, so I did wrap the leg to stabilize it, but only loosely, since there was swelling. I checked the wrap throughout the day for the first few days, then when swelling went down, I wrapped it pretty well (not too tight!). I left the wrapping on for a couple of weeks and only changed it if it got wet or heavily soiled. Checked the leg watched how she moved, then rewrapped for another couple of weeks.
I did make sure she ate/drank well. She did not roost the first few weeks so I made sure she had some deep bedding to lay on and that she was housed/locked up securely at night. She went from sleeping on bedding to roosting on a low bar to eventually jumping to a high roost to get to the rafters to sleep like normal. This took about 6-8 weeks but I really think it was fractured.
If vet care is an option, an xray will tell you if it's broken or just bruised. Vet's are expensive and we often just have to do the best we can with home care.
So, check her leg, look for bruising (greenish/blue tinge to the skin), a lump or broken skin.
Let me know how she's doing.
