Chicken Struggling After Passing Egg

Did she recover?
I'm asking because I'm going through the same thing and every time she lays another egg she hurts herself.. I'm going to try the low light

What feed are you using?
Being completely honest she was eating scratch and free ranging outside but now that this happened she eats more scrumble and calcium.
She's also getting some B 100 vitamins and I think their are helping her
My concern is that after laying an egg she becomes constipated for a long time

you shift to a quality layer feed, also oyster shell calcium. Sounds also like she might have a yeast infection going on.

She needs calcium. You can get injectable calcium gluconate at most feed stores. Google the dosage for her weight. I like aviandmv.com. She should pass the egg in a few hours.

Let her lay where she wants a few times until she's regular and then train her to go in the nest box. It seems like you both stressed each other out.

She did recover and started laying regularly. However not she has developed pendulous crop and stopped. It seems she may be a weak bird from bad stock. Sometimes all you can do is what you can do.
