Dark, like dark? or just low light?I've gotten advice & seen on this site that keeping her in a dark place for several days will help shut down egg production.

What feed are you using?Did she recover?
I'm asking because I'm going through the same thing and every time she lays another egg she hurts herself.. I'm going to try the low light
Being completely honest she was eating scratch and free ranging outside but now that this happened she eats more scrumble and calcium. What feed are you using?
you shift to a quality layer feed, also oyster shell calcium. Sounds also like she might have a yeast infection going on.Being completely honest she was eating scratch and free ranging outside but now that this happened she eats more scrumble and calcium.
She's also getting some B 100 vitamins and I think their are helping her
My concern is that after laying an egg she becomes constipated for a long time
She did recover and started laying regularly. However not she has developed pendulous crop and stopped. It seems she may be a weak bird from bad stock. Sometimes all you can do is what you can do.Did she recover?
