I think RIR are very pretty but my children are afraid of them we had a very bad experience with RIR Roo..

I was going to save them for the Keene swap but I am going to offer them at this swap as well after all. I have 6 Speckled Sussex pullets, they will be about 4 weeks old for this swap. They are feathering out nicely. I may also bring two Silver Laced Wyandotte chicks (will be 5 weeks old) but I haven't yet decided if I'm going to let them go. They are straight run.

I don't know anything about Speckled Sussex...Are they a larger breed?? Can you tell me a bit about them?

If all goes well, i should have some chicks to bring to this swap. A few each of Plymouth Barred Rocks, Amerucanas, Dominques, and Cuckoo Marans. All hatchery sexed pullets. They are not sending my Salmon Faverolles---which i am bummed about, because those were the ones i wanted most. I was just filling out my order with the other breeds. figures.
They said they will try to ship my SF next week or the next, so fingers crossed. I had also ordered some extra of those.

I have a few Speckled Sussex (that i am keeping for me). They are standard size, hens weigh around 7 pounds when mature. They lay large size brown eggs, are considered very good producers, can be broody, are very cold hardy, and have calm dispositions. I think they are very pretty with white speckles in their brown feathers.

Thanks

I will be there just in case anyone wants some of the chicks Twinlights has to offer. I can bring them up for you to pick up. But cant bring chicks not sold.
We are only going up to this one to pick up plants from vnsseed.(YAY I get to plant my garden!)

I will be bringing hot fudge sauce to Keene, but no fudge as it melts fast in the heat. Although if I have any extra in the fridge that my kid hasnt eaten by then, I will bring up a little bit and keep it in the cooler. Just in case Tony is there and wants some.
