Had a good time today and sold quite a few critters-- The mist was tolerable but the downpour WE ALL could have done without! Nothing like feeling like a duck without the webbed feet. Came home to 9 green Melanistic Pheasant babies that hatched out in the bator. When I left home this am I had 6 1/2.... Most people don't know what they look like as they mature so here they are: http://www.pheasant.com/page.aspx?page_id=68 If anyone is interested in purchasing a few or the whole clutch please PM me-- I am hoping to make the Chichester swap on Saturday!
Ok,well I have been telling my children for weeks we are NOT getting a rabbit, every swap I say no bunnies...and today "I" fell in love with a bunny...I managed to walk away but 2 hours later I find my children and myself all looking at this sweet lil Bunny....we all favored the same one but each had a different "fav" we all agreed to walk away and think about it...we left and chatted a bit but decided we were NOT set up for a bunny so we decided to wait....30 minutes later I went back alone and was snuggling this sweet bunny I fought buying her and headed back to the car...about 20 minutes later my daughter said mom can we please get her?? I handed her the money and said go see if she is still there....
we learned from when we fell in love with lil ducks that we should not call dad and ask if we can get something....instead we went by the "Happy Bunny" motto....
She's a cute little girl HenPen! Great little personality and very docile, that is why I love the breed!!!!! As long as someone is doting over them, they are happy. Our stud buck "Chuck" (my kids named him) plays basketball with a woven straw ball. He carries it around in his mouth and will then stand on his back feet straight up in the air and drop the ball. He does this over and over... they are very intelligent animals.
I am so glad we got her, my daughter came home to find her pet rat Monty is not doing well,we lost 2 others earlier this year and it was very hard on her....
ETA: She named her lil Bunny... K.C.....I told her to name her Chicken or chick so if her dad asked what we came home with we could say just Chicks!!
