yeah I would have been cranky beings I brought home a Roayl Palm that was only a few months old and put her in with the slate babies.
the derned thing could have wiped out 8 baby turkeys and I wouldnt have heard a thing.
ugh stupid wild life. I dont mind feeding them occasionally but not rare and expensive turkey poults.

There is another swap in Chichester this weekend coming up.
depending on how the weather goes we may even be able to sneak one in in july, but the weather has to cooperate and stay cool.

We like a cat with attitude! Cara started out similarly but within about a week she learned the "no claws" rule pretty well. Not to say she never uses them, but only when she is really scared or upset. I am really good at teaching cats. I know you haven't really met Dapper or Cara but they are both affectionate, well behaved cats. They know where they are allowed to be and where they are not allowed to be and they know how to act respectfully with people.

Sorry I missed everyone yesterday. Dan insisted that I sleep Saturday night so naturally I slept through the alarm in the morning. Woke up around 9:30am. I first was going to get up and go but then I decided I'd rather relax through the morning. I guess I just wasn't in the mood for a chicken swap yesterday

Dan appreciated getting to relax too. Sunday is his only day off and he wasn't thrilled about spending the whole day out. I apologize to those of you that I had talked to about getting things and Barb for not showing up with the eggs. I will contact you all privately.

Hey everyone!

Thanks so much for a fun morning yesterday!

My two new girls have settled in with the first three with only some slight showing off between the porcelain d'uccle and the new mille fluer.

The mille is absolutely BEAUtiful and so soft - thanks Darbella (I think - Darlene and Wayne, right?).

And thanks to Just A Country Girl for my beautiful little sebright! She's been asleep pretty much since I picked her up from you around 10am yesterday morning and hasn't eaten much... what were you feeding her at home? Any other thoughts?

(And thanks also for letting us wander around with your GORgeous roo, "Blue"... Abigail said that he's the sweetest rooster she's ever met. If any of the rest of you want to add a beautiful sweetheart blue bantam cochin to your flock, I HIGHLY recommend this bird!)

Thanks Shay for the lavender "forest" I got from you - as soon as this rain quits I can get it in the ground...

And congrats HenPen on the new bunny! I had a feeling when I saw you holding it that it was going home with you...

See everyone next week!

Gypsy, Pigon is doing well in her new cage with her new mate. What type of dove girl did you give me? Within 5 mins of checking out her new digs, and showing her new mate(sweetie) who's boss, they mated(12 times!)

Talk about not wasting time. LOL! Anyways, she's doing well.
Shay your pullet is awesome, and is settling well with our Buff cochin roo(Thanks Gypsy for sexing him). She's even decided to not take and Crud from the ducks. LOL
Dave, the container gardens are doing well, thanks again.

Peace all

edited to fix my fat finger issue...LOL!
