Chicken swap Milford TSC June 21st (new date)

First, I'm SO thankful these swaps are around! MANY thanks to the organizers!

Second, I just want to 'test the waters' here to see how likely it is that I will be able to GIVE AWAY my three six-week-old roosters (easy to handle, they've only been hand raised) . They were hatched to check viability in anticipation of hatching eggs in my classroom. The girls and one roo went to a friend, and I've got these three guys left.

I have no problem giving them to someone who might later use them for food. They're the offspring of my red star rooster and red star hens. Their father was well filled out by 6 months.

If they're anything like their dad, they'll be very managable flock roosters who are excellent at keeping their girls out of harm's way. I've been very impressed by mine, and he's the first rooster I've had.

Again, I'm hoping to give them away, so if you're interested now, please let me know.

Thanks!
-Christian

thinking back, poor spook, no wonder she got worried after that! and the fighting roo's, well, they were not fighting, just the breed automatically becomes an issue, its crazy

There is nothing wrong with that breed as long as they are not used for greed purpose. I have had a few of them and they were the sweetest roosters going. not cut or nothing but fully stunning birds.
Honestly it should have been a non issue, anyone who raises and breeds the birds for non sporting use generally has some very nice birds. its stupidity that is the issue, not the birds themselves.

Bring what you have , you never know what someone is looking for, some people look for breeding roosters , some look for a pet rooster and asome are looking for eating roosters,
Some one is always on hand looking for something someone else might have available.

I have a larger than average supply of partridge silkies this week. if you have any extra pullets and would be interested in swapping come see me or pm me. maybe we can work something out.
