First, I'm SO thankful these swaps are around! MANY thanks to the organizers!
Second, I just want to 'test the waters' here to see how likely it is that I will be able to GIVE AWAY my three six-week-old roosters (easy to handle, they've only been hand raised) . They were hatched to check viability in anticipation of hatching eggs in my classroom. The girls and one roo went to a friend, and I've got these three guys left.
I have no problem giving them to someone who might later use them for food. They're the offspring of my red star rooster and red star hens. Their father was well filled out by 6 months.
If they're anything like their dad, they'll be very managable flock roosters who are excellent at keeping their girls out of harm's way. I've been very impressed by mine, and he's the first rooster I've had.
Again, I'm hoping to give them away, so if you're interested now, please let me know.
Thanks!
