I'm hoping the chickens can put aside their petty differences -- they have before -- and snuggle up together.

I stuffed 2 of my oldest hens in a double sized nest box (after removing the partition and turning on the seedling heat mats in them). Astrid was content to stay but Amelia kept fighting it. I hope that she stayed in there after I pulled the partition out and they could sit together without sitting on top of each other. I took one of the 5 year old molting triplets and put her in another nest box. She also didn't want to stay. They don't know how good they've got it.
