that falcon was awesome wasnt it, i had a hard time feeling sorry for the thing since it likes to eat my chickens! LOL but it was a good demonstration just the same, cassie has decided she wants to do that kind of work and picked up a lot of info as well, which i like to see kids getting into good things like that. great swap today, and nice rabbits you got today!

I got a kick out of her comment "it's like bringing the fox to the hen house" and during her presentation the white cornish that kept sticking its head out of the crate on the trailer in front of her as if it was keeping an eye on her hawk!

Yup, that was me - I really wasn't expecting to purchase anything but we lost our house bunny recently and couldn't resist getting another (we actually ended up with 2!) I almost purchased a hen that was absolutely beautiful but decided it wasn't the best time to introduce another chicken into the flock and with the cooler weather keep her separated without anyone else to keep her warm so I decided not to get her which really surprised my wife - she has gotten use to me going chicken crazy

I was thinking about wrestling that falcon away from her but was afraid she would hurt me,(not the bird either lol)
that was one stunning animal and cassi was totally facinated.
It was a great swap this time though didnt sell but one nice plant bought 1 really interesting plant and brought hom two unknown breeds of bunnys, but they are so cute.

got home and sold all the guinia keets some rabbits and a few cages so it was a good day all and all for me.
no aggravation either which was awesome on its own.

Looks like I really missed out today

I woke up sick this morning and didn't think I could do the car ride there and back. I was really disappointed to miss the falconry demo since I have always thought it was such a cool sport. Oh well, maybe they will do it again someday. See at least some of you in Milford.
