There is usually extra copies of the bulletin at the meet. You can get them inside at the secretaries table. They may have extra directories also so you can have everyones #'s and birds they raise,I think there is a 5.00 charge for the directory.
Make sure they have your mailing info correct!See you there.

If your going to get new chicks, according to the link I found...

You may want to move the chicken coop/run
other wise there is a good chance of recontamination.
It appears from this article that it is very difficlut to remove from the ground.
I would also recomend getting cicks that have been vaccinated for Mereks that way you have less chance of reinfection.
from everything I have read on Mereks its a Herpes type virus and no none cure.

Yeah, I've read that article (and a couple dozen others...) and everything I've found all pretty much say to vaccinate day-olds and hope for the best! They say nothing about adding adult birds to a carrier flock...

The coop is brand new (they hadn't even been moved into it yet!) and recently painted, so that's helpful. But with Madmartigan carrying the disease there is really no way that my new birds will not be exposed I think.

Thanks for your input anyway.

I'll let you all know if I find out anything else useful and I'll still see you soon!

Is there any fee to get in?

I am looking forward to checking it out tomorrow and it sounds like the entire family is going to come along for the ride - Hopefully the rain will be over by then! I hope to get to meet some of you tomorrow!

it is exciting they are going to have a falconry demo this meeting. I cant wait to see it. i am not bringing a lot with me so I can concentrate on the demonstration. I know my grandadughter is looking forward to it also she loves the raptors.
I am hoping they will have an owl demonstration later in the season also.
look forward to meeting you.

Anyone know what time the demo is?

I'll be going. Got to get that NPIP testing done soon too, before MA raises yet another fee.

Hard part will be not bringing anything home with us.
