You may want to move the chicken coop/run
other wise there is a good chance of recontamination.
It appears from this article that it is very difficlut to remove from the ground.
I would also recomend getting cicks that have been vaccinated for Mereks that way you have less chance of reinfection.
from everything I have read on Mereks its a Herpes type virus and no none cure.
Yeah, I've read that article (and a couple dozen others...) and everything I've found all pretty much say to vaccinate day-olds and hope for the best! They say nothing about adding adult birds to a carrier flock...
The coop is brand new (they hadn't even been moved into it yet!) and recently painted, so that's helpful. But with Madmartigan carrying the disease there is really no way that my new birds will not be exposed I think.
