White is a pain to keep clean, but they were nice! I wanted to go get a better look but by then the kids were being major pests and it was time to go.
Mass swaps are hard for people who dont have NPIP birds.
but with other critters I dont find anything for regulations on them other than they have to be 8 weeks old or more.
I am sure some could be set up in Mass if everyone agrees to NPIP which is free in Mass right now. get it done for free while you can the grant wont last for ever.
then you can get one set up.
i think the december meeting is going to cover the buy sell rules and laws. i think i will stay for that one. of course its probably more about mass than anything else
Dan is thinking about bringing me down. He will probably say yes but he needs me to tell him the time for it and I haven't done that yet since I couldn't remember while we were in the van today. He's asleep now but I'll ask him tomorrow.

Hey Wendylady, do you have anymore bantam d'ccles? I love them.
I won't be able to make the swap this weekend as my daughter has a cheerleading exhibition but I have a beautiful D'Uccle cockerel in lemon yellow for $10 if anyone is interested. He's about 2.5 months old.
Does anyone know if Shay will be there? I have some more stuff for her and I figured if she is going on Sunday I can give it to her there and if not I can see if I can stop at her place on the way home.
Hey everyone! I hope you have had a great summer and I'm really looking forward to seeing you all at some swaps this month!
I have a question for all of you... do you have any experience with Marek's survivors? I unfortunately lost 3 of my 5 darling birds to Marek's last month (as confirmed by lab tests and necropsies), and another to a hawk, all within a week (including my wonderful little porcelain d'uccle roo, Willow)! My last little Sebright is hanging on and I think he'll make it, but he's definitely a carrier.
A lot of what I've read here on the forum says that many of you have Marek's survivors in your flock, and even that some folks are breeding resistant strains of birds. Is it enough to know that any new birds I get were vaccinated? Do they need to have been exposed (i.e. come from a resistant flock)? What else can I do? (I have another thread about it here)
I want to get some new birds (at least 3-5 mos old) this month, but I need to know that they're not all just going to die as soon as I've fallen completely in love with them!
