Those three are on my list as well as a white silkie . Has there been any Lakenvelders at the swaps
?
you just never know what will show up at a swap. I never get to look around till the good stuff is gone. you need to be fast at these events. the only reason I got the lavender cochins is because I watched their mother unload them from the car (she set up next to me)
those little buggers went into my trailer so fast
hey brandy, the little girl watched tv with me tonight. I covered her up with a blanket on my lap
Awwww spoiled little girl lol As for the eggs hatching...all but one of your showgirl eggs made it to lockdown.....some of the millie cochins are still good, I have some Japanese bantams in there and some NH reds i think maybe some silkies from my grils or some polish....don't really know which are which. Hopefully the brooder box will get finished tomorrow....husband permitting as I am at a point in the building venture that I just dont know how to do myself lol
Janet can you give me the rooster guys info...I think I am at the point that I need to thin the roo flock.....just can't take the noise anymore.....and a couple of the lil brats have decided that I am no longer alpha chicken in the yard anymore and chase my feet when I wear my boots that have the fur on the top lol. So if anyone is interested in any of these guys I have a bunch of NH Red 7-8 week olds and a couple other roos that are getting on my nerves.
we crazy chicken people get way attached. I talked to someone a couple of months ago that had house chickens that were potty trained. I didn't know it was possible to do that. can you just imagine having a chicken wiggling to get out of your lap so it could go use the potty then come back.
