We have....SHOWGIRLS!!!! OK Janet...educate me....One of your showgirl eggs hatched and its black/greyish looking with black skin and 5 toes. Another one hatched that wasnt one of the eggs that you said was a showgirl and its yellow/fawn colored with pink skin. Shes has no neck fluff but looks like she has a scarf on. Whats the pink skinned one? Do they all supposed to have black skin like silkies and this one is a freak? lol

On a side note......dont know what I am going to do with this white silkie roo.....he gets his roo on with anything in the yard he can pin down. The eggs that came from my girls are all hatching out little silkie mutants....even the NH Reds lol Talk about a freaky chick

Hi all... was wondering if anyone had a frizzle roo or fertile eggs from a frizzle that I could purchase. Preferably somewhere near the seacoast NH or within an hour or so drive. I won't be ready for the eggs until January, though.

I think this might not be the right thread to ask, so if it isn't, please direct me to a better place.

Thanks!

is there a certain breed of frizzle roo you were interested in? frizzle is just a feather mutation and can happen in any breed (even silkies-i had one last year

) i currently have a 4 month old frizzled bantam faverolles boy that is more of a columbian/ermine color project than the traditional salmon. he has salmon bleed through in the white part of his feathers but he has been a sweet boy and i want to find him a good home.

pm me if interested. i tend to get onto the boards every few days and may not see this thread to give you a timely response.

I love the Brahma I got from you Jan @ the Meridith swap , she is sweet & she a beauty, I would love another.

Checked out the link on the Lakenvelder. very nice looking bird

so happy you like your brahma. I have her sister and I love mine too. we will have more next season. they will be hatchery sexed. I like to get them in all the colors.

I think the lakenvelders are pretty too.

showgirls... mom is very tiny and white. dad is a white colombian. his markings look just like a white brahma. genetically there can be any color in the background of a white bird if they are not children of 2 white parents. my roo gives me all kinds of colors. I have a few of his kids that are about 4 months old right now. 2 are a color I have new seen and they started out black/greyish. they are like a cream and grey partridge. the bodies and heads are shaded grey and the neck(1 is a silkie) is cream. until these chicks were about 3 months old they looked like grey mud then all of a sudden

turned from an ugly duckling to a swan

. he also made me a buff and an unusual splash.

pink skinned sounds like a showgirl cross. the pen those eggs came from is set up for the winter. I put silkie and white showgirl hens in with some tiny roosters so the girls could have a break. the boys are half the size of the girls. 1 is a black tailed white japanese and the other is a black polish sizzle(child of frosty and a banty polish). when they play tag it is like watching a pinball machine..bing,bing,bing,bing. makes me kind of dizzy. if it is from the jap, it will have regular feathers and probably a straight up tail. if the black is the dad you could get a frizzle naked neck.

so how many of the 3 showgirl eggs hatched and what other colors did you get?
