One thing I did learn though is to not mix new chicks from the hatchery that have had the vacines with the new ones you hatch for atleast two weeks.
Even just one case is not enough to alarm me to vacinate all the ones I hatch. I have never had a problem with any I have sold and I hatch constantly during the year.

When the NPIP lady came to my house this month, she said that there was one confirmed case of it last year in NH.

Alright... so I'm totally new at this.... all I have for display cases are pet/dog crates. They have good ventilation, but they aren't really good for displaying. They are good for traveling. Are display cases essential? If I end up doing this a lot, of course, I will invest in better ones. Might have to improvise this time around, though.....

totes work well for carriers. They sell the clear ones and alot of people cut the tops of the ones you can't see through and put rabbit wire for ventilation and veiwing. It also keeps the cold winds off the chicks when you are selling outside.

I have a couple of those that I set up as brooder boxes. Will definitely bring those, too.
