How true is it that female chicks get thier tail feathers first? The chicks are 1 week and bantam assortment.

To the best of my knowledge it depends on the breed. Here is a link to a chart for breeds that are more easily sexed by tail feathers and some other great sexing info... Hope you enjoy!

See if that link works. There isn't any info on bantams on this chart, so I don't know if it can be done with them...

Does anyone have bearded silkies? I have some in my bator hatching but so far only 2 eggs have pipped knowing my luck they would be roosters! I got one last year from the first swap in Milford that turned out to be a rooster, and I've wanted one again ever since.

Is anyone looking for bantam size ducks? I have five that must go together. 3 males and 2 females, not quite a year old yet. Very healthy. Please do not respond if you want to eat them. I could meet someone at the Brentwood swap, but I'd prefer to rehome them earlier then that. I am willing to drive a reasonable distance if someone wants to meet me some where. I'm near Plaistow.

Also if I can find a home for the ducks I may be interested in looking for either some bantam wyandottes or a hen heritage breed turkey, preferably a narragansett.

email me at cricket and kit @yahoo.com just remove the spaces, it is all one word

Raygirl,
I may be interested in some of your silkie chicks, depending on what colors. Can you PM me? Thank you!
