I was actually just putting my list together. I'm probably forgetting some and I'll need to figure out how to get them all into the van!

Hey - I'm on a little homstead over in Proctorsville (by Okemo). we have a small coop of 14 chickens we winter, but it grows to about 25-30 during the summer.Mostly white egg layers. Looking to add a turkey or two this year, maybe ducks, piglets next year, and if that goes well I'm pushing for a jersey cow and two goats.

It looks like there is a swap coming up in Walpole soon. I have never been to a swap and wonder if there are ducks ,,quail or any other animals?

Nice you are not too far from me

Your "farm" dream sound like out place... a bit of a "menagerie".

Yes we live near Walpole. and we hope to setup & sell this year at Walpole & Claremont.

If we want to sell at a swap do we need to register ahead of time or can we just show up and register?

And my last question is if we are not selling older poultry, do we still need to have our flock NPIP tested?

We are setting up the testing ASAP, but not sure when it will be complete.
Opps...I went to page 1 of this thread, and now have my questions answered...

You never know what will show up. We have a large vendor that comes to walpole who usually has ducks and frequently has quail.

Hi. We are neighbors, too. We are in VT too and have participated in the Chickenswapsofnh for a few years. We will be happy to hook you up with the guys to get your birds tested, so you can get your entry permit (it is free in VT). Welcome! "Old Fart"

Hi Everyone! Excited to see everyone tomorrow at the Milford Swap, and to see what everyone has been hatching all winter! We are an American Dairy Goat Association, registered herd of Nigerian Dwarf goats, and have also added call ducks and Brown African Geese to the farm. Please visit us at Hoage's Hollow on Facebook and meet the whole gang!
