I am new to this..
does anyone know what kinds of hens will be at the chichester tractor supply store on oct. 23?
do I need to bring my own box? what is the price range usually? I am looking for 2 or 3 new girls to add to my free range flock.
It is better to bring your own cages to put them in. Prices are always different depending on how old they are and what kind you are looking for.
There is usually a good viriety at the Chichester swap. Welcome aboard.

was there a good variety?
Not alot came as the weather was very windy. But Chick magnet had quite a few ,some very beautiful birds, very friendy. Thats whom I bought my 2 Polish girls from. wonderful chicks. I wish I had bought a few more from her.
I am looking for welsummer's & Marans, I like the splash marans, & a Buff polish. I will B going 2 the 1 in Littleton, NH TS on the 31st.
I am hoping to get some that would like to be mommies in the spring... I had some Buff Orpintons, which I adored, 1 sat on a clucth but we only got 1 chick. It was her first time. Unfortunatley, we had a weasel attack & lost them. I am now trying to replace my flock. ( the weasel is dead) I am down to 2 red sex link hens & someone gave me a free rooster. The rooster is a bantam though so he is really small. I had a orpington roo. Can a bantam make babies with full size hens?
