Does anyone know anyone with young Mandarins? My mom is looking for some and I can't find any any where, I would go to Milford for them.

fyi--you are a grandma. I hatched some beautiful silkies and showgirls and have more in the bator. dad looks great with his feathers grown back on his head. he is such a sweet boy. I have 3 showgirls sitting in 1 nestbox. went out tonight in the dark to candle. found him perched on the side of the nestbox to be close to his girls.

We lost our little tiny serama rooster a couple weeks ago, out of nowhere

but now that I'm rooster-less maybe I'll get a couple chicks from you at some point in the future, and would love them to be his offspring! Hopefully I can get to a swap at some point. Candia isn't too far so hopefully I can go to that one! I'd really love to get some muscovy eggs, I just haven't 100% talked everyone else into ducks yet ... but when I do I'll let you know

I need to take lots of pictures. when I do, I will post some of my little sherlock and his kids. right now I have 2 showgirl chicks 1 week old that belong to him.
our muscovy has been making a nest. she has about 15 eggs. sun she decided she had enough to sit on. she pulled out feathers for the nest and down she went and god forbid anyone who goes near the nest. if all goes well we should have ducklings in a month.

this is a picture of them from last year. he is blue eyed white and she is lavender.

Awwww, they're so cute. She is very pretty! Hopefully she has a successful hatch

I think my Scovies are getting ready to start nesting too...I'm soooo new to ducks though, I'm not sure.
My drake died, but one of the 'hens' is now a drake! LOL Do they sometimes stay immature if another drake is dominant? That was SOOOO weird! Drake dies and we think we have 3 "drakless" hens, and 2 days later...we have a drake and 2 hens!

Anyhoo, we have feathers all over the place, and the beginning of a nest in the straw

We will be going to the Tilton swap.
I will have one polish mix and 4 standard cochin frizzle babies. They are 5 weeks old.

We won't be going to the Milford swap on Saturday.
