I got my chicks from a swap in May and it is looking like I have an Easter Egger rooster. He is not yet crowing, so I am not in a rush to give him away, but was wondering if I could come to the swap with him. Do people do that? Also, how old is best to look for a rooster to be re-homed?
I have brought roosters to the swaps before and they both sold. One went to a pet home and one went to a home for consumption. Neither one were crowing yet but were real beauties! It's worth a try if the swap is not too far from you. CL is also a good option but the Swaps are much more fun!
poeple do bring roosters to swaps. many of them sell
for $5.00 to $15.00 depends on what breed they are and how old.
lots of poeple have gone to feed stores in the spring and bought puilets. now some are looking
for a flock rooster. where do you go go find a rooster? you go to a swap!
I will be at the Walpole swap with the following.....unless they sell first as they are all on craigslist for sale as well.

How much for the Ameraucana's? We just got 2 about the same age so getting them together quick would be nice. I'll just have to see if we can definitely take them, but I just love them.

I would have posted them last night but I had to take my anxiety meds on the way home because it was crazy on the highway and went straight to bed when we got home and unloaded the chickens.
It was a real good swap considering it was a holiday weekend. Lots of venders and lots of buyers.
