Yes unfortunately there are alot of cruel people out there.
See he knows what you are up to so he is trying to make you happy enough to keep him
I really don't think mama hen will adopt any more babies at this point. Unless you want to keep a second brooder I would wait until spring and try again.
It was a good day in Chichester. We brought my dog with us in case she went into labor while we were gone. We figured the vet is in Deerfield so if needed she was better off with us. We had a good lunch at The Red Apple after the swap. I am glad the rain held off and it turned into a beautiful day.
No pups yet by the way. I took her temp at 5:15 and it was 99.8 so it won't be long (I hope).

I believe it came from the eggs I got from Janet so the dad is a Frizzle Roo and mom is an Amaraucana. It will be a big boy.
The frizzle one we got from Joie finally decided to start crowing this week so the mystery is over. It's definitely a roo.
His legs are very full of feathers
He is quite shy, but the other day he jumped in my lap & visited for awhile. Thought I heard him startn' to crow this morn, but when I opened the door to the katies kastle coop , my silkie roo was in there

My Faverolle with the funky eye is still doing well. My2 Polish & Buffy's chick & Twister R still doing great. I tried something on twisters neck, but it threw her balance off & she went in circles . I thought I had an idea on how to get her neck straight
. Queenie is still going in the main coop & Astra aka Sassy & Annalee go in Katies kastle. The hen with the most gold is the 1 I lost

. I'd like 2 replace the 2 Polish I lost , but I don't think Sadie will except any newbee's right now. Sorry I should have Pm'd U. I am finding most of the threads some people R judgmental &
give nasty remarks, so I am disliking going there to ask questions or advise
. Hope everyone has a great wl end
