last fall she set up a facebook page which we have just started to use.
more recently she met with us to set up a new web site.
everything is still under construction but she is doing a fantastic job
(she also has to teach us how to use these things it's a big job)
she is one hard working woman who knows her stuff.

there is a page that explains things you will need to know if you will be setting up to sell.
we are in the process of creating a page where I will be listing everything that is for sale at every swap.

Yeah I did! I have chosen some breeds that are critically endangered on ALBC list! Cayuga Ducks are one! I got a trio! I also ordered a quartet of Red Shouldered Yokohama and 6 straight run White Sultans! The chicken breeds will be here Thursday! The Cayuga came last Thursday! All ar critically endangered in this country!!!!

I didn't know cayugas are endangered. it is great that you are choosing endangered birds. are your sultans standard or bantam? I have a trio of standard. one of my girls just started laying. I have a couple of mottled javas and I think I read that they are on the endangerted list too.

The four levels on the ALBC List are: Critical, Threatened, Watch and Recovering. Java are on the threatened list. I apologize - was wrong on the cayuga - they are also threatened not critical. My sultans are standards too and they are critical. Our Indian Runners are on the watch list. The Bourbon Red Turkeys that I intend to get from Brandy's eggs arealso on the watch list.I like to know that the animals I have are part of a world wide effort to save themselves!

To answer this question ( ALL BIRDS 5 MONTHS AND OLDER )
must be NPIP tested and banded to sell at a (Chicken Swap)

Checked out the site under construction. It is coming along very well. nice job Brandy!

One point of clarity. It says all birds over 5 months old must have a leg band. Birds hatched from my NPiP flock that are over 5 months old (after my testing date) will not have leg bands. You are not required to retest birds hatched from your flock more frequently than once a year......?

there are two sets of rules in new hampshire. one set for selling from your farm and one set for selling at chicken swaps and fairs.
selling from home---nips test once per year and you may sell adults with bands and chicks that were to young to test on your testing date without bands.
fair rules--to the best of my knowledge (I will ask Greg in the morning) all chickens 5 months and over need a leg band. so if you wanted to bring your chicken to a fair you would have to have it tested.
chicken swaps for the most part follow fair rules. chicken swaps run by privately owned companies such as chicken swaps of nh make additional rules to prove that animals sold at swaps are healthy.

So.... It's happened.... I caught CMD (more commonly known as Chicken Math Disease)!!!!! Already have 40 chicks in brooders with another 30 - 40 yet to hatch and I just ordered 30 more rare breed pullets! OH BOY!!!!!!!!! I guess i'm ready for swaps huh!!!!!!!
