I think I will be very small in comparison to what some of you are bringing!! Oh, I am going to have to try very, very hard not to bring anything home.......

I was wondering what is on everyone's supply list aside from the basics... so far I have:

folding table, chairs
address stickers with what... address and phone number?
chicken food and water
chickens

What else have others found to be useful???

Thanks!

Anyone bringing Showgirls or Frizzles? this is my want List. A dozen good laying pullets. Standard and Bantam Cochin's,Showgirls, Frizzles, White Crested Black Polish, fertile hatching eggs in Standard Cochins, turkeys, And ?.

I am bringing pullets that will be about 11 weeks old .....they are EE's, NH Reds and Barred Rocks. I think I am bringing 10 total of those but they will go fast! I also have Black Australop Pullets that are going to be about 6ish weeks old. I will check my slips to see exactly what age they are. I also have some RIR pullets that are 5ish weeks old. I also have white silkies ranging in age from 4 weeks to 9 weeks old. I also have some beautiful designer chickens that range in age from 4 weeks to 11 weeks old. These are straight run. Some of them are definitely roos and some I suspect are probably pullets but guarantees. (except the crowing ones.....i guarantee they are roos :p )I will have turkey eggs eventually but in still waiting for my little slackers to lay :p

2 Days left to go till my very first chicken swap ever! Yup, that's right! This obsessed with chickens and never been to a swap!!!! My excitement is overwelming!!! That and the escape chickens!! Yup woke up to one of my cages wide open! They are very mar birds!!!! My basement had chickens and chicken poop everywhere! Unfortunately it's a finished basement!! It was hilarious though! I didn't stop laughing for an hour especially after I saw the mass confusion on my cats faces!!!!! (NO! Noone got eaten!) The cats ere hiding in a corner looking like "hey, what do you chickens think your doing flying around our room"!!! It was soooooo funny!!!!!

I'm kind of interested in having a vaccination clinic day for my chickens. I would be glad to help someone else out if they wanted to make a team effort of it. Then the vials (and cost), which I think come in big #'s of doses can even be split. I might even be able to get some of the other things for cheap or free (I work at a hospital).

Jeepchick, would you be interested in something like that? Eventually? I'm not quite organized enough at the moment, but would like to be... eventually. 8)
I dont right now but the chicks I order are vaccinated and i am looking into the cost and procedure of vaccinating my chicks.

Ooooohhhhh, thanks for this list. You are saving me a ton of hassle!! I would have forgotten, oh, all of that. 8)

Thanks to those who replied. I guess the bigger question is, if you're not vaccinating for Marek's, have you ever lost any birds to Marek's like symptoms at all? I'm trying to gauge how prevalent it is in NH in general. It's hard to find much data on it other than "It's terribly contagious" and "It's best to vaccinate for it." But if you folks are frequently not vaccinating and also not having losses from Marek's, that's something I'd like to know.

I dont right now but the chicks I order are vaccinated and i am looking into the cost and procedure of vaccinating my chicks.

I only vacinate when buying from the hatchery. From what I have heard, there hasn't been a case of it in NH for over 20 years.
