hi everyone,

had a nice day yesterday in plymouth. we had no problems with the drive coming or going. there was a nice breeze which I was thankful for. I saw alot of healthy pullets for sale as well as cute silkies and showgirls(they are always my favorites). there were quail, turkeys, guineas, bunnies.a goat, and crafts. the boyscouts had a bake sale and bbq. this season there are more swaps that have food. yesterday we bought some very tasty cookies.
I hope everyone had a nice fathers day. we went out for breakfast with my dad and my daughter.

Looking for 2-3 recently hatched chicks... don't really care what kind (prefer hens if they're sex-linked) - I have a momma hen that only hatched 1 of 6 eggs and I really hate for the babies to grow up as "only children" ... they mesh better with my flock when they have siblings.

I have another day or 2 before the momma will probably reject any new babies as the baby just hatched Saturday evening...

I have some that went into lockdown yesterday and also some that are a few days old. They are straight run though. Not sure where you are located but we are in Bridgewater, NH. Next to Bristol and before Plymouth.

We have some polish, frizzles, Silver laced Cochins, Lav. Ameraucanas and lots of mixed.

Looking for pullets. 4 / 5 months old / NNIP tested ( can be older ). Had all my birds tested in May. Neighbors lost 13 chickens & 1 duck to something & they found 3 of my hens & 1 Roo when they went searching for theirs, last wk. Something had to haul my girls off over there, there's a lot of pasture between us. Don't want to hatch out my own because I do not want any more Roo's.
Wish list is Olive egger, Americana (sp) , Buff Brahma, Maran , silver laced wyndonnot (sp)

The next chicken swap is in Merrimack on Saturday but I'm not sure if what the other vendors will have for older ones. July 7th is NH Chickenstock (there's a different thread on this). You may be able to find some there, they have a wish list as well. If all else fails PM me and I'll let you know what I have that's off of heat as I typically have several 4-6 week old sexed females ready to go.

Quote: Yes, if you do not find what you need at the Merrimack swap please come on over to Chickenstock in Claremont on July 7th!

This event will be so much fun and promises lots of chicken fun!! Greg and a lot of the regular NH swappers will be here as well!!

I'm in Deerfield, NH (about an hour away) ... ... I wouldn't be able to make it up that far until the weekend... but I'll keep you in mind ! :)

Have some black sex links 1 wk old tomorrow. PM me pls if interested.
Are they really feathered already? ... I'm afraid they might be a little too independent by that age to be convinced they need a momma chicken... but I think you're my closest option ... I'm going to check when I get home to see if any more hatched (but I strongly doubt it) ... dang chickens never do - do things as planed (is this why they're so addicting?)
