yes, you're right, I spelled it wrong, thanks. But more importantly, is the difference that EEs can be mixed breeds?
EEs are anything not a "true" Ameraucana that lays or is supposed to lay a colored egg. These can be non- recognized colored Ameraucaunas or any other breed mixed with am Am to get you a colored egg laying mixed bird.

The confusing part to this is you can have an actual pure breed Ameraucana but someone mixed 2 recognized colors which results in a non-recognized color - many sticklers call that an EE.

Your best bet is to get your Ameraucanas from an actual breeder. I have Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas. There are many other Ameraucana breeders here on the BYC Am thread.

Hatchery Ameraucana or Easter Eggers have the blue egg laying gene however very few ever meet APA standards for showing. "True" Ameraucanas can be purchased from breeders. A good place to start to look for these breeders would be http://www.ameraucana.org/ If you are simply looking for birds that lay colored/tinted eggs blue/green etc hatchery EEs are what most back yard flocks have. If you're looking for APA standard birds you may want to look for a local breeder.
