Chicken Swing

My DW asked me to build a chicken swing in the run. Sure Dear I said all the while thinking this is crazy, chickens don’t like swings...

I insisted on getting a chicken swing as well. My dear husband thought I was CRAZY! I put my chickens on it and took pix, but that was the last of it. Finally, after 3 years, we took the darn thing down. My husband was RIGHT!!!!! I enjoyed it hanging in the run more than my flock did!

I want yo to say I've seen other people with swings in their coops and their chickens used it!! Maybe it just depends on the bird. Lol.

I've seen chickens on BYC that are actually using the swing, and seem to learn how to get it moving. Maybe some chickens are prone to motion sickness.

I have one in my run. It's a piece of 1.5 inch PVC pipe about 2 feet long. The only time there has ever been chicken feet on it is when they fly over it and accidentally hit their feet on it.
