Sealing "chic-nic" table and swing

Hey all! I am putting a natural finish on a chic-nic table and chicken swing that my kids made me for Mother's Day. I have decided to use tung oil, and have found it mixed with orange peel oil, or pine oil from Milk Paint Co. Has anyone used either product, or do you know if orange vs pine would be safer for chickens?

If you're planning to put treats in the table top do not use tung oil it is toxic. I would use butcher block oil on the top as it's food grade. As for the rest of the wood tung may ok as long as they're not eating food from those surfaces.

If one is looking for a sealer with lasting effects linseed oil is one that will last for years. It is also a preservative
