Chicken throw up?

One of my hens just spit up a bit when my fiancé covered her head. I was holding her when it happened and it was clear...anything to be concerned about?

Not usually. Sometimes there is water in the crop and when you mash it or tip them it can come out.

@welasharon thanks! I was extremely worried. She's my favorite hen and I'm new to chickens so it gave me quite a scare.

She should be fine my Easter egger did this all the time in the winter because she loved eating snow. She is still ok.

So 45 minutes ago my rooster "Poppy" threw up, it was actual undigested food (3 pieces of BOSS, half a dried mill worm, and a tiny piece of grass) he 'seems' alright since. Should I b worried?

if he's acting normal otherwise he should be okay. I've had that happen and that was because she ha just eaten, then started to run around. Just watch him! I would think it would be fine.
