Chicken Tips - Take a Tip, Leave a Tip

When you get a new puppy and you take her to the chicken coop daily so everyone gets to know everyone and everyone knows we all belong to the same flock/pack. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT let the puppy follow you into the coop and then take the broody hen (the one you don't want to set eggs) off the nest and put her on the floor of the coop in sight of a canine. WOW, you know what has no fury like a broody hen protecting her nest.

True, but that peck to the eye cost me about hundred bucks!!! It swoll up like a posioned dog. pun intended.

Keep your mouth closed while scraping the roosts, or poop boards, and/or while you're cleaning up the sand or litter in the coop.
