Chicken Tips - Take a Tip, Leave a Tip

Week old baby chicks will scare a 200 pound english mastiff to death! He will jump 2 feet in the air and run for cover when the tiniest chicken peeps at him. Always be careful when introducing new animals, it never goes as planned. The chickens have made a game out of scaring the poor dog to death and often try to sneak up on him.

Chicken behavior is unpredictable and erratic!

I am sorry but I can not help it. To see a 200 pound mastiff jumping is hilarious.

I never knew mastiffs to be so athletic. Hey aren't elephants supposed to be afraid of mice?I think it's because they are so small and fast, the dog can't figure out what the devil they are.

Keep those plastic shopping bags at the back door, and slip boots into them and tie them up (or as a previous tipper suggested use a clothespin) for a quick run into the house.

If you had a rooster, and you get rid of it, one of your hens might become a "rooster". Or at least one of my hens did... What ever my rooster did, now she does...

Anyone else notice this?
