Chicken to coop ratio

There are predators everywhere. You don’t see them because they have no reason to show themselves to you but once they smell the chicken buffet they’ll be around. You don’t have a predator problem until you do. So be prepared is all.
Free ranging is a personal choice and if that’s what works for you just research it, lots of great information on here. Some breeds do it better than others. And know there will be losses.
I know that. I only plan to let them free range supervised!
 
My personal opinion, is the more space the better. Frankly, I'd stop where you are, let those girls grow up for a while and see where you are. It's so easy to get carried away when you first get chickens because they're so fun, and there are so many choices. I get that. Babies tend to cuddle together, but full grown hens may decide they want some room. See how it goes. Every group is different.
