Chicken "toys"?

Silly question, probably, but our dogs have toys and the cats have toys ... is there anything we can build/put into the run, to keep the chickens "stimulated'? I let them out of the run (a large run) on supervised garden forays, after work, but they are very keen to get out, by that time and I'm just wondering if they get bored?
OK, you can all stop laughing now and wipe your tears away ...

Congratulations on your first post. Try hanging a head of cabbage or 'flock block' in their pen so they have something to busy themselves with.

Its really easy to hang the cabbage too. Just screw an eye screw in the bottom of it and let it hang upside down.

They like making a mess and kicking over "stuff". A bale of hay, or a "forage box" (bits of "good stuff" in some hay) will have their attention pulling it to bits and kicking it all over.
