Chicken Tractor Help

If your chicken tractor is for grazing/foraging during the day only and they have a separate coop for night, roost bars aren't necessary. If the tractor is their full time 24/7 home, give them a roost bar.

It will be their full time home, so my gut feeling was the need for roost bars, just had not seen anyone include them in their builds.

Sorry. This first tractor will be for laying hens and will be 6ft x 10ft. Will sort of look like a greenhouse made from cattle panels.

So a hoop coop?
Do you have a vehicle to move it?

Also, roost bars should be higher than the laying boxes. Correct?

I would give 1 foot length of roost per bird at the height of the highest roost so if they all want to be at the height of the highest roost they can without cramping each other. This should be higher than the nest boxes and in a covered portion of your tractor (so they have a bit of roof over them, without seeing your design it's hard to say exactly where).

Correct.

I don't think I will need a vehicle to move it for the size I'm moving, but I guess if it came down to it, we could use the ATV to do the job.
