Chicken Tractor Kills My Birds

I just built a chicken tractor using 4' sheep and goat panels. It's a lot heavier than I expected. My problem is when I move it the chickens will just stand there and be run over by the bottom edge (3" PVC) of the tractor. I try to go very slow but sometimes they just won't get out of the way. Suggestions?

throw BOSS or mealworms in the very front and move it halfway... when they finish the treat, repeat..

Put the feed bins at front of tractor, fill just before moving and they will follow.
