chicken tractor permit

Depends on the ordinances in your county and/or subdivision. A tractor is not a permanent structure so you probably don't need a permit for that, but have you checked to see if it's legal to even have chickens where you live? Don't take anyone's word over the phone, either--look up the ordinances in your area on building and having poultry.

My little town has an Ordnance against chickens, but it's not enforced unless somebody complains about them. I was told this by the person that enforces the Law, So you might have a 3rd option.

Ok

I've been looking into getting chickens and have studied on it for 6 months now and i had a hard time on finding the ordiance but i finaly found it after2 weeks so it says you have to pay 50 dollars for a building permit but
i'm not so sure about that because i think that you only have to pay for a permanat coop thats not meant to move.

Have you tried calling the building inspection dept to ask? In this county, you would only need a permit ( & inspections) if it has electrical or plumbing.

Most places, a sufficiently-small moveable structure with no electric or plumbing is not going to require a permit.

You need to find out what the requirements are for when you do/don't need a permit. Usually where they give info about fees they also tell you something like "all structures greater than 100 sq ft coverage require a building permit" or something like that.

I agree that you should call and ask. Sure beats wondering. Usually permits are for a structure that is not going to move. Many towns are rewriting their current laws to include the keeping a few chickens and tacking on a fee while they are making changes. There is a setback rule in some towns so it does not get too close to neighbors etc... There is one town here that is more country than where I live and you pay a fee to license the actual birds but no fee for coops.. I am outside the urban growth boundry so I can do what I want.. They are all different.
