when she was a baby bird, I had trained her to jump on my hand. I have a video of this too! She was so sweet as a tiny thing. She was able to stay trained that way until she was too big to jump on hands but too clumsy to fly. Over the winter time I had little interaction because winter sucks, but now that it's summer she's back to being really affectionate. She naturally is so very unafraid to just get up into my lap and on my shoulders and things. It was not challenging to train her to jump on my arm. She will do it most of the time without a treat now. I was in the process of training my welsummer to do the same thing but now she has bumblefoot and that's going to take some time to heal. I can pick up Smoke from anywhere in the yard and she's usually pretty accommodating for cuddles, she will sit in my lap and let me pet her head and fiddle with her wings and toes.
