Chicken Treats

hello! Last week my dogs found my mealworm back, and ripped it open, allowing all the chickens to feast on it.

I’m looking for any recipes/homemade chicken treats I can easily make for Moderns today! Thank you!

In the summer I make ice rings with fruit or veggies. I also cut a watermelon in 1/2 and throw it in the run. They love all of it. In the winter I give them hot oatmeal with fruit.

Thanks! I’ll try freezing some fruit! I w tried freezing strawberries before, but they kind of disintegrate before they fully freeze, and get even soggier when the ice melts/is pecked away

Sorry forgot to add the part about the water. I mix the fruit with water so it’s fruit and fill the rest of the container with water. Cover and freeze. When it’s ready I put it out on a hot day and the peck at the ice.

Aye, strawberries don't freeze well at all. Most other fruit will freeze fine though. Apples and banana go a bit mushy, but nothing like strawbs.
