***Chicken Trivia***

The uropygial gland, usually called the oil gland or the preen gland, is a small gland found in almost all birds that produces an oil that is used for preening. The small nub is found near the base of the tail, and is usually covered by feathers and hard, if not impossible, to see when the bird isn't preening.

Correct! Nice job.

Here's your Q:

Describe a true bantam (I won't except just "miniature chicken"!). Compare a true bantam with just a bantam. What was the founding breed for most bantams? Are Silkies true bantams?

A true bantam is a bantam with no larger counterpart. A bantam vs. true bantam is a bantam has a larger counter part while a true doesn't. Silkies are not true bantams even though people say they are, they have larger counterparts in Australia.
