chicken trouble

I have 11 chickens and every mourning they make a racket.I might have to give some away,but I really dont want to.Can anyone give me some ideas please???

You might want to post this in chicken behaviour - you might get a few more posts.

But in the meantime - do you keep your chickens in an enclosed coop or just a barn/run type area? I let mine free range and hang in their run all day and at night they go into their bedroom (an enclosed coop with a roost) and I never hear a peep out of them until we let them out the next morning.
