Was riding in the car the other day on the interstate with DH and we passed a Tyson truck full of chickens on the way to the processing plant. These were obviously laying/battery hens that were 'done' and boy, did they look awful. Debeaked, of course, and ragged looking and just...tired and staring and sad. Made me wanna go home and give mine an extra treat, which of course, they didn't mind at all.

That's because animals are treated as a commodity, without a shred of compassion for the "living being" side to them. Very sad indeed.I hope those farmers get what's coming to them when they meet their maker. So much for caring for all God's creatures.
