she still seems to be ill and very thin but is a bit more active

Thank you for the update. Most of us deal with reproductive problems similar to what your hen may have, and it is important to try to make them comfortable and get them eating to help them along. I have had several who seem to have had internal laying, and they still may enjoy their time with their flock. When the time comes that they look to be suffering, then we have to put them down. Hopefully, she will bounce back from this bad spell.
