BYC Café

Good Afternoon,

Tea/coffee is done and dusted, now cooking lunch! We had some rain last night, enough to clear out the dust those wind carried. Hot and humid like anything and reportedly storm is somewhere, sometime, anytime coming.....

I went into the big shopping centre which I dont often go and there are so many people wearing facemasks. Is there a rise in covid? There is no covid reports anymore like it used to, no mention of it on the news.

My chickens are keeping me busy, one drama after another. This morning 1 hen with eye issue, 1 hen with heat issue and the tiny rooster is walking strangely. All fixed. The mosquitos are full on now, it is yet dusk and they bite me crazy, so the mosquito coil is out also.

TV is playing True Grid again, they must know I like it😄. The week before last week they run The Big Country old Western movie, it is like classic. There a a lot of old Western movies running on our World Movies channel lately. Soon it will be all scary movies because of Halloween.

Have a great day 🌻😎

Good morning Cafè. Coffee is ready.

Stay cool and mosquito bite free @SkyAJK.

Good luck with the biopsy @Sally PB.

C should be here by 8 to go over chicken chores. He was stunned by Doc's size on the roost last night at lock up/nest box clearing and couldn't help petting him.

We've made three stops so far on our journey out to our rental cottage. The primary purpose of this one was to get the girls to completely evacuate! Mission accomplished.

Good Morning ☀️

The kettle just finished singing, coffee is here.

It is cold this morning, overcast and a promise of rain/storm..etc.
I am cooking breakfast and listening to podcast on history of assassination, first episode Abraham Lincoln's celebrity assassin. I love listening to podcast from our good source news ABC.

Your vacation is getting closer @DobieLover , so exciting! :celebrate
That area of your walk is beautiful, leafs turning yellow and it is looking like a scene in aromatic movie. ❤️
Your dog looks similar to Australian Kelpie breed.
A few years back, a 20 months Kelpie farm dog was sold for $49,000.00

My tiny rooster is so busy looking after 9 big hens and 4 bantam hens. He barely have time to eat or drink. He run over this flock, then the other flock and stand guard while his 3 flocks enjoying their grazing. Yes, occasionally he try ..but they declined him, I told him the mating dance!!! and offer food to the hens. I give him some berries for treat to offer the hens, but he ate it all himself! Only 7 months so he has much to learn. I laugh and adore him seeing he is taking up his position and being so tiny......those tiny short legs have to take so many steps...❤️

Have a lovely day🌻
